As I create this post my heart breaks for the families and my clients who will not have the opportunity to document their precious baby addition at the hospital, at home, in the studio or with their loved ones. With out the support of their family and friends as they welcome their precious baby home. It takes a village…if you know someone in this situation find creative ways to support. Electronic gift cards or a run to the grocery store and leave it at their door are just a few suggestions.

5 tips to a better newborn session
#1 Plan ahead! It will make it so much easier if you have your newborn photographer booked before having baby. Make sure they specialize in newborns.
#2 Decide if you want your session to be in studio or lifestyle at home in the nursery or master bedroom
#3 Prep the outfits
#4 day of session crank up the heat
#5 Feed baby before the session a full tummy is better than an empty one
